Maclaren Strollers Recall: Download Template Requesting Repair Kit for UK Customers

Update: After news cov­er­age reveal­ing fin­ger­tip ampu­ta­tion cases in the UK and over 200 emails to Maclaren, Maclaren announced on the 12th of Novem­ber 09, that they will pro­vide free of charge hinge cov­ers that can be used to cover the fold­ing mech­a­nism avail­able to par­ents who request them.

Down­load the tem­plate ask­ing Maclaren UK to pro­vide free hinge repair kits to cus­tomers who have pur­chased Maclaren bug­gies in the UK.  The Maclaren Strollers (Bug­gies) affected by the recall include:

Volo, Tri­umph, Quest Sport, Quest Mod, Techno XT, Tech­noXLR, Twin Tri­umph, Twin Techno and Easy Traveller.

You will need the prod­uct VIN code. To locate the VIN please turn your stroller upside down. VIN is the 21 digit num­ber beside the bar code.

    Hello, thanks for the email template MM. I got a different response this morning from Maclaren. Instead of saying "that there was no requirement for a similar programme in the UK due to the low number of this type of incident in the UK and especially as there is not a product defect or non-compliance with the stringent EU quality standards for buggies."

    They seem to be saying, "Thank you for your email. I will place an order for you but we do not know when they will be available at the present time, so I cannot give you a delivery date."

    Anyone else had a different response from Maclaren?
