i think this has been blown out of proportion!
my 3 month old is very safe in his fantasic light weight pushchair. why on earth any loving, careful, mindful, intellegent parent would let their child put their fingers near a hinge when it is being used! is this not common sence??? the same as fingers being trapped in a door???
its just silly, this whole argument doesnt have a point.

After writing a second email in which I said I would never buy Maclaren again, nor recommend them to friends AND spread the word in parenting blogs and forums such as this, I was told I would receive a repair kit. I am happy that so many parents did the same and the company is responding - as it should have in the first place. Thanks for providing a means of action!

Hi Britt, Thank you so much for your comment. It seems that Maclaren have eased up slightly on their initial response to parents requests. One of our readers received a different response from yours this morning. So , it might be worth trying again. They now seem to be saying that they will place an order but cannot confirm a delivery date. See Becky's comment on Maclaren's Respose to Mindful Mum Email Download

Thankfully I think the 'voice of reason' has been heard and they will make the safety covers available to those that request it. You know I even had several parents emailing that they would be happy to buy it. So Maclaren could have potentially made an additional revenue stream from this.

Thankfully, looks as though they are now going down the best route and responding to those that want it.

All the best, and thanks again for sharing with other Mindful Mums and Dads.
