BRITAX BABY-SAFE infant carrier recall
Infant carriers from Britax are being recalled after a safety issue regarding the handle has been discovered.
Britax are recalling a batch of BABY-SAFE infant carriers after finding a safety issue with the handles. The affected batch were purchased between 1st February & 31st March 2012.

To identify whether your infant carrier is a BABY-SAFE please check if the handle adjustment buttons are located on the pivot point of the handle. There is one on each side. Check these numbers, then contact Britax via the website www.britax.co.uk

| Product Description | The affected carrier related only to the BABY-SAFE model, not the BABY-SAFE plus II or the BABY-SAFE plus SHR II. The BABY-SAFE carrier has two adjustment buttons on either side of the handle at the pivot point and not in the middle of the handle. The affected products were purchased between 1st February & 31st March 2012. |
| How to identify this product | To check whether your product could be affected, you must enter your product number and serial number on the BRITAX website using the following instructions. Go to http://www.baby-safe-recall.eu/ and enter the following information. The stickers with the item number and the serial number are located on the left side of the infant carrier (in direction of the occupying child) behind the handle hinge. Select the item number in the drop down field. On your BABY-SAFE the item number is located above the barcode on the white sticker. Type in the serial number. The serial number is 8 characters long and is located underneath the bar code on the orange ECE label of your BABY-SAFE. |
