Baby Product Recall: Maxi-Cosi FamilyFix Base

Family Fix Base Recall from Maxi CosiMaxi-Cosi is voluntarily recalling all Maxi-Cosi FamilyFix bases sold before March 04, 2010, to be checked.

The recall concerns a potential problem in the mechanical attachment of the IsoFix connectors to the base. As a result, the base does not offer the child the desired level of protection in case of an accident. The problem, identified during a routine internal quality check, affects a small percentage of the total production. There have been no complaints or report of incidents.

The FamilyFix base is used for two successive car seats;

  • Maxi-Cosi Pebble (baby/0-13kg)
  • Maxi-Cosi Pearl (toddler/9-18kg)

Mindful Mum is contacting Cybex (based in Germany), Mama & Papas and the UK Trading Institute to find out if UK strollers are affected and if the recall will also be announced to customers in the UK / Europe as part of Mama & Papas ongoing commitment to assure UK customer of their “strict quality and safety controls.”
