Kate Fathers is a Canadian writer living and working in Glasgow. She obtained a BA in English Literature and Creative Writing from her hometown university, the University of Windsor, before making the leap across the pond to pursue a MLitt in Creative Writing at the University of Glasgow. Both a keen environmentalist and an unabashed geek, she often combines her two passions by penning environmentally-themed science fiction stories, as well as a keeping a like-minded blog and writing a monthly column for Starburst magazine. In her spare time, she dabbles in piano playing, cooking, yoga, and has perfected the art of lazing about in a park with a good book.
