When Bradley Wiggins became the first British rider to win the Tour de France in July 2012, not only did he make us proud to be British he inspired whole families to learn to cycle. Swiftly followed by a haul of medals from TeamGB and ParalympicsGB children across the country have been sparked into cycling by new sporting heroes.
Bikeability
British Cycling are encouraging children to learn to cycle and are coaching bikeability which focuses on cycling skills and safety awareness before progressing to roads. Proper cycling lessons organised within your community will give your child the skills, safety awareness and bikeability to cycle confidently.
