Allergy and intolerance friendly Easter eggs
For small children, Easter means one thing. The Easter bunny bringing them lots of yummy chocolate eggs. But if your child is dairy intolerant or allergic to the ingredients of chocolate, Easter might leave them feeling a little deflated and confused. Here are some great allergy and intolerance friendly eggs from mum of three and founder of dairy free baby food company, Dribble Delights, Cheryl Ryder.

It’s taken a long time for us at Dribble Delights to gain a decent perspective on what and where we could get dairy free eggs for our little ones at Easter time. Let me share with you what we know and hopefully it could help save you some time and give you those Easter alternatives.
We just love the company Moo Free. They have great choice and can be found in Waitrose or through a range of smaller shops, but they do have a really good list of stockists on their website. We would really recommend checking them out.
We were also delighted to find out about ‘Choices’, unfortunately they don’t seem to have a website, but we have found two different varieties of their Dairy Free eggs. One featuring the big hollow egg with three foil wrapped caramel chocolates and the other again with the big hollow egg but this time with six coin shaped foil wrapped chocolates. We found these in Sainsbury’s and as you can imagine we were jumping for joy with delight. Although they aren’t character eggs that other children will get it will have that all important feeling of making our children feel just like their friends getting a range of Easter eggs this year. ‘Choices’ have also been found in Holland and Barrett by different family members of mine so it’s good to see this year a bigger stock of these quality eggs.
We have also been really fortunate to find Kinnerton Dairy Free, Nut Free, Gluten and Egg Free in Tesco this year. We haven’t been able to find the kids versions – Winnie the Pooh and The Simpsons, but it’s great to see more choice coming our way!
We are also fans of Allergy Save who have an amazing Easter e-book available to buy online with a fantastic range of recipes featuring alternatives to foods free from the top 8 (Peanuts, Tree nuts, Wheat, Dairy, Eggs, Soy, Fish, Shellfish and Gluten) Please do check out!
