How to make a fab pop-up Father’s Day card!
How to make a fab pop-up card for Father’s Day that any Dad will love!
By Kerry Farrow from Multiple Mummy
To make this card you will need:
- 2 pieces of A4 card
- scissors
- glue
- ruler
- 1 pipe cleaner
- 2 little pom pom balls
- A print sheet (Available from Kerry via email!) or you can make your own graphics.
How to make the card:
Print out the graphic sheets (add your photo’s in the spaces)
Firstly fold one of your pieces of card in half.
Cut out the insert print and stick inside the card. Fold the card back over.
Measure 4cm down from the fold on the front of the card and make marks at 5cm, 7cm, 9.5cm, 11.5cm, 14cm and 16cm – this is so you have three 2cm strips. (Or make new measurement if you have less or more children!)
Cut down the sides of these strips.
Open the car up and push and fold the strips so that they come through to the centre of the card.
Fold the second piece of card in half. Place on top of the first card inside and glue together so that you don’t have the gaps behind the strips anymore.
Cut out the front sheet and stick on the top of the card. (just change your photo!)
Cut of the bodies of the boys and girls you need from the print sheet.
Stick these to your inside strips.
Cut two pieces of pipe cleaner to come out the sides as arms and attach with sticky tape behind the strips of each edge.
Add a pop pom with glue (hold in place with a paper clip until dry!)
Print out a face of each of your children and cut out – stick them over the faces of the boy and girl cartoons.
Get your children to write their message!
Hope you have fun!
