Wedding activities for kids
Planning a wedding and worried about what to do with the kids? Look no further!

With the increasing number of couples choosing to wed after having children, how to entertain the little ones during the big day is often a must-have on wedding lists. To save you from too much stress, we’ve collected some fun ideas to keep the little critters from getting bored on your special day!
1. Dress-up box
Bringing a dress-up will not only keep the little ones occupied for hours, but will create plenty of cute photo opportunities! For a cheap an easy box, just fill with old clothes and Halloween costumes donated by friends, bring a few mirrors from home or a charity shop and some face-paint kits. There are also companies that you can hire entire fancy dress wardrobes for parties if you want to go all out.
2. Photo scavenger hunt
For a fun activity, bring lots of disposable cameras and a list of things for kids to take photos of around the reception venue. Or if you have an outdoor wedding, how about a nature walk? This will keep the little ones occupied and in the end you will get to see your big day through the eyes of a child!
3. Crafts Table
Having a crafts section can be tricky as it is an invitation to get messy. However if properly supervised and with the right materials, kids can have a ball making gifts for their parents or even the bride.
4. Mini-Cinema
This might sound expensive, but all you need is a small room, a projector and a lap-top or games console! Lay out some cushions for the kids to settle down on, provide some snacks and pop on a Disney marathon!
5. Kid’s party room
Ask your venue if they have a small room you can use to hold a kids party. You can keep it wedding themed with “Pin the veil on the bride”, Musical chairs to wedding songs and pass the (wedding cake shaped) parcel. Entertainers such as balloon artists and magicians won’t go amiss either.
