It’s no wonder rumours have been rife with this celebrity baby, her parents two of the biggest players in the music industry. We were told she gave birth on New Year’s Eve, she apparently checked into New York’s St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital half a dozen times since then and we even had a speculated name of Tiana May Carter. None of which turned out to be true!

What we can tell you is that Beyonce, 30, and Jay-Z are ecstatic to announce they’ve welcomed in to the world a little baby girl reportedly named  Blue Ivy Carter. The couple are yet to confirm the details and name of the little girl’s arrival.

The news of the pregnancy shocked the world and broke the record for the most tweets per second for a single event (8,868 tweets per second) when Beyonce announced she was expecting at the 2011 MTV Video Awards. The singer broke the news when on the red carpet and then later again after her stage performance of hit ‘Love on Top’ when she unbuttoned her jacket to reveal a baby bump. It later emerged she was five months pregnant at the time of announcing the news.

The ultra cool couple have not let pregnancy get in their way of success with the pair continuing their chart domination and we doubt having a little one running around will change that either!

We wish Beyonce and Jay-Z the best of luck as new parents.
