Heavily pregnant woman to compete in Olympics

An eight month pregnant Malaysian sports star is to compete in the 2012 Olympics in just a matter of weeks.

Heavily pregnant woman goes for gold in Olympics

Malaysian born Nur Suryani Mohamed Taibi is competing in the London Olympics in the 10 metre air rifle event, despite being just a month away from her due date.

Although normally competing in both the 10 metre and the 50 metre three position rifle events, her bump restricts her to just the 10 metre as in the other event, competitors lie on their fronts to shoot.

Nur Suryani Mohamed Taibi is thought to be the most pregnant woman to ever compete in the summer Olympic games. She found out she was pregnant just two days before qualifying for the games in January.

Aiming for gold, the Olympian actually believes her growing bump has given her an advantage and believes her stability has increased along with her stomach.

Best of luck in the games Nur Suryani, we hope the little one doesn’t kick when she pulls the trigger!
