Five beauty bargains under £5

Sometimes it’s nice to treat ourselves without breaking the bank, and there are certainly plenty of inexpensive brands out there that can allow us to indulge in a spot of retail therapy without feeling too guilty about it. Today I’m sharing with you my top five beauty bargains under £5, and showing you that make up doesn’t have to cost the earth to be good.

1. Sleek Pout Polish £4.29

The Sleek Pout Polishes are conditioning lip tints with a hint of colour and a lot of shine. They are perfect to pop into your handbag for when you are on the go, and come in a range of gorgeous shades.

2. Superdrug instant tan (Light shimmer) £4.50

I am a huge fan of the Superdrug own brand tanning range, and I think I have tried just about every product they offer. The instant wash off tan comes in both a shimmer version (perfect for evening use) and a matte version (great for daytime use). This is the perfect way to experiment with self tanning if it’s not something you normally use, as it can be washed off in the shower with no risk of stained orange hands or knees!

3. Barry M nail paint (Peach) £2.99

The Barry M nail paints are one of my favourite brands of nail varnish – the quality is amazing and they have a huge selection of colours to choose from. ‘Peach’ is the perfect polish to give yourself a lovely manicure or pedicure, and if like me you are mourning the lack of sunshine, this beautiful summery shade will brighten you up in no time.

4. ELF Golden bronzer £3.75

This is a product I use daily – it’s extremely versatile and particularly great for travelling. I use the lightest square to add a glowing highlight to my cheekbones, I swirl a large powder brush in all four squares for a light dust of colour on my face, and each individual square can even be used as a shimmery eyeshadow.

5. GOSH Let’s Twist eyeliner (Carbon black) £4.99

Another of my favourite high street brands, GOSH’s Carbon Black liner is the perfect way to add a little definition to your eyes – I use this on both my upper and lower lash line.
